Xel-Ha means “spring water” in the Mayan language. This eco park in the Riviera Maya is the largest natural open sea aquarium in the world, and offers a myriad of water and land activities, eco attractions, world class cuisine, and countless natural wonders. Xel-Ha is a water theme park located south of Playa del Carmen, 76 miles from Cancún.
Xcaret Eco-Park is its sister company and although similar, Xel-Ha is slightly smaller and more water-oriented. The Riviera Maya eco park includes many underwater natural attractions that can been viewed by snorkeling and scuba diving in the crystal clear water. Other water activities include exploring cenotes and the once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming with the dolphins.
Additional park activities include bicycle riding, hiking, exploring tropical Yucatán jungles, and swimming in rivers and lagoons. For the adventurous, the park offers jumping from a cliff into a river or jumping from a rope into a cenote. It is an exciting place to enjoy the natural wonders of the Riviera Maya with friends and family.
